Fresh Thyme Market is a chinese supermarket in Joliet, Illinois. It is listed at 2700 Plainfield Rd Ste C, Joliet, IL 60435, which places it among the local businesses of Joliet that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by. Besides its main category, the business also describes itself as bakery, butcher shop, deli, so it may cover more than the name suggests.
Store size varies enormously, from a small corner grocery with a few aisles to a full supermarket chain location in Joliet with a bakery, seafood counter and food court under one roof. Sales and promotions are often posted in-store or in a weekly flyer rather than online, so prices listed on a website may be out of date. Seafood markets sell live and on-ice product and can usually clean or prepare fish on request for a small fee. Specialty food stores in Illinois may focus narrowly on one category, like a butcher, a rice and dry goods shop, or an import store, so calling ahead to confirm stock for a specific item saves a wasted trip.

Love this little store! It's hard to buy 'clean' meat these days, trying to improve our diets. Fresh Thyme has a wonderful selection. No steroids, no antibiotics, no GMO, just fresh clean meat, most are grass fed. They have pork, chicken, beef, and some frozen exotic meats like bison, elk, and venison. Condsidering the prices these days, Fresh Thyme is very reasonable. They also are the only place I can find low sodium ham in the deli.

My family and I visited Fresh thyme. Market for a regular grocery shopping trip. We were excited to shop there because of the unique products available. However, our experience at checkout was deeply disappointing and upsetting. While we were scanning our items at the self-checkout, a staff member positioned herself directly in front of us and stared intensely. When I briefly placed grapes in the bag before weighing them, she approached with an accusatory tone and told me I had to weigh them first. I understood and corrected the mistake. As we continued scanning, my girlfriend handed me avocados that she had scanned, and the same staff member accused me of not scanning them and stealing them, demanding I scan the avocados. When I asked if she was watching me, she said yes, she had to. This felt like racial profiling. When I pointed out that my girlfriend was the one scanning the avocados and asked if she was actually watching, it became clear she was focused solely on me. This experience made us feel unwelcome and accused. We left without completing our purchase. I hope the store addresses how staff monitor and interact with customers.

Fresh Thyme Market is my go-to spot whenever I wanna eat healthier without totally breaking the bank. It's like a mini Whole Foods but way more chill and actually affordableβthink loads of fresh organic produce, killer bulk bins for nuts and spices, and a meat counter that often has legit sales on good-quality chicken and grass-fed beef. The vibe is super laid-back, the stores are bright and clean, and they've got an insane selection of supplements, gluten-free stuff, vegan options, and natural beauty products. Staff are usually friendly and actually know their stuff, especially in the vitamin section. Downsides? Some locations can feel a little pricey on certain items if you're not hitting the weekly sales, and every now and then checkout moves slow. But overall, the quality-to-price ratio beats most chains, and the produce is consistently fresher and cheaper than the big guys. If you've got one near you, definitely worth making it a regular stopβfour and a half outta five from me!

Big selection of healthy foods. Reasonable prices. Though not as big as Mariano's, Fresh Thyme offers a lot of organic food and bulk foods. The staff, especially the managers, are extremely knowledgeable. Everyone is friendly.
